Aussie Google phone will launch after redesign

After the first Google Android phone in Australia originally planned to launch on December 15 last year, then pushed back to January 29, Kogan Technologies then delayed the launch indefinitely, citing ?potential future interoperability issues?.




And now, Kogan is back, according to the Android Community:

…founder Ruslan Kogan claiming that their new model will be more like the Apple iPhone in design, with a large 3.8-inch touchscreen for Android to roam freely across. Midnight Update?s Seamus has interviewed Kogan (you can see the video below), who insists that the device will hit the market and, after that, gets to play with an Agora prototype to confirm that it actually exists in more than just renders.

The Kogan Agora, when available, it will be another smartphone powered by Google’s Android OS. Kogan showed off a working prototype of the device at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas recently.

Windows Vista SP2 RC can be Downloaded

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 is close to the version of the Release to Manufacturing (RTM). Now, the version of Release Candidate (RC) is the operating system can be downloaded.

Imagine holding a windows mobile smartphone with just a credit card size, how easy you can type on its QWERTY keyboard?

Modaco has spotted an i-mate working prototype, ‘Project Centurion’, running Windows Mobile Standard OS and comes with a 2 megapixel camera, d-pad navigation keys and QWERTY keyboard. The tiny phone will support HSDPA data connection and available by the end of this year.

MWC2009: Skype and Nokia partner to integrate Skype into Nokia devices

Skype and Nokia today announced a partnership that will bring the world’s leading Internet communications experience to the Nokia range of mobile computers. Under the terms of the cooperation, Skype will be integrated into Nokia devices, starting with the Nokia Nseries. The Nokia N97 flagship device will be the first to incorporate the Skype experience in the 3rd quarter of 2009.


The Skype experience will be part of the address book of the Nokia N97, enabling presence - seeing when Skype contacts are online - as well as instant messaging. Nokia N97 owners around the world will also be able to use 3G and WLAN to easily make and receive free Skype-to-Skype voice calls, in addition to low-cost Skype calls to landlines and mobile devices.

“Making Skype available everywhere through mobile devices is essential to fulfilling our vision of ‘enabling the world’s conversations’,” said Scott Durchslag, Skype’s Chief Operating Officer. “Collaborating closely with Nokia to preload and integrate our software onto their devices will benefit the many Nokia customers who already use Skype, as it makes Skype easily accessible and simple to use on the go. MWC2009: LG GM730 is LG Eigen Windows Phone

With the official announcment in Korea yesterday, a little more info of the LG GM730 is now available on a Microsoft event. According to theunwired, the new Windows Phone has a name called LG Eigen, has a 528 MHz Qualcomm cpu, 128 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM, 5 megapixel camera, built in GPS, FM Receiver�and WQVGA screen (240�x 400 pixels).

According to yesterday announcement, the LG Eigen will pre-installed with the company new S-Class UI, which is ported from the 3D S-Class UI from LG Arena KM900. LG is expected to make an official announcement in few hours time today.
